Mass Email Approval
Cornell University employs consistent procedures for notification and processing mass electronic mailings to the following constituencies: faculty, staff (academic and nonacademic), students, and alumni. The university expects anyone sending mass electronic mailings to any or all of these constituencies to do so in accordance with the procedures outlined in this document.

October 25, 2019: (1) Full review performed. (2) Change in responsible executive and responsible office. (3) Added "unit electronic mail manager," with important procedural responsibilities. (4) Added responsibility for unit heads to appoint the unit electronic mail managers. (5) Added two constituencies, faculty emeritus and parents of undergraduate students. (6) Emergency communications are no longer covered by this policy.
