Communication and Training Plans

New, interim, and substantially revised policies are usually announced to the Cornell community. For employees, general awareness is achieved through announcements in the weekly Faculty/Staff News. For students, general awareness is achieved through channels managed by Student and Campus Life. The Policy Office handles these announcements unless the responsible office states that they intend to do so.

Policies take effect as soon as they are published on the University Policy website. The responsible office can request that the University Policy Office publish a policy at a specific date (and time) to align with communication and training activities being done by the responsible office.
