 Policy Statement

Cornell University acts as a custodian or fiscal agent of certain external resources for independent organizations. Cornell University does not own these funds, but does have a responsibility to manage the funds properly. The university accepts these resources only when the funds will be used by the organization for activities consistent with or in support of the mission of the university.

 Entities Affected by this Policy

Endowed Ithaca, Contract Colleges, and consolidated subsidiaries of the University (excluding the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College)

    Violation of a financial policy should be reported to your supervisor, your human resource representative, unit manager and/or the office responsible for the policy. Where these resources are inadequate, you may choose to make an anonymous report through the Cornell University's Hotline .
